New to using AI in your business? You don't need to be technical. These prompts work like a very fast assistant: you give it the details, it gives you a solid first draft.
1. Pick one annoying task
Don't try to "use AI for everything." Pick one task you do every week that eats your time: replying to reviews, chasing unpaid invoices, writing a job post, planning social posts.
2. Use any AI assistant
Every prompt here is plain text and works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Microsoft Copilot and others. The free versions are fine to start.
3. Try these three first
- Reply to a negative review: calm, professional and fast.
- Overdue invoice reminders: get paid without awkward phone calls.
- Plan my week from a brain dump: turn a messy list into a plan.
4. Fill in the [BRACKETS], then push back
The more specific your details, the better the answer. After the first reply, keep going: "make it shorter," "more friendly," "give me three options," "what am I missing?"
5. Stay safe
- Don't paste passwords, full account numbers or customers' private details.
- AI can be confidently wrong. Check facts, numbers, dates and prices.
- For tax, legal, employment or insurance questions, use the output to get organized, then confirm with a professional.
